Men’s Summer Study – Two Essential Practices for Spiritual Formation
Join us as we learn and practice intentional spiritual formation. We do so to engage the abiding challenge for every follower of Christ – What does it mean to be a disciple, or an apprentice, to Jesus? Practically speaking, how do we do this?
A Companion Guide will be provided free for each participant. We recommend buying and reading the book, Practicing the Way, by John Mark Comer. The book provides an excellent on-ramp to intentional spiritual formation and the Practices.
Using resources from Practicing the Way – teaching, guided conversation, and spiritual exercises – we will explore two essential, classical spiritual disciplines. The Practices are centered around the life rhythms of Jesus, designed to slow you down and create space for the Spirit of God to form you to be with Jesus, become like him, and do what he did. Ultimately, they are a way to experience the love of God and to become a person of love.
