Student Leadership Summit
Give & Go is partnering with our Second Baptist Student Ministry and Vacation Bible School Directors to offer a 3-day Student Leadership Summit for all coaches, leaders, and students in grades 6th through 12th.
What:
- Specific Leadership training for Give&Go Basketball and Cheer coaches on how to coach, organize, monitor, and implement drills and games for a group of kids at camp and beyond.
- Specific Leadership training for all Vacation Bible School student leaders and helpers in a volunteer role.
- Hands-on learning activities for individual leadership as well as team leadership, as well as implementing those skills in various settings and scenarios in a sports-like setting as well as in the classroom, and in life.
- Thursday’s session will include a Hands-on Mission project in which students will participate in a service project together from 9-12 pm. After lunch, there will be break-out sessions featuring student leadership skills and training in areas such as Worship, Ministry, School, Community, Work, Family, and beyond.
- Group activities and discussion will be conducted in each break-out session, led by adults in leadership positions within the church and community.
When: Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday June 2nd – 4th, 2026 9am-4pm, lunch included
Where: Second Baptist Church (9614 River Rd)
How Much: The Summit is broken up into three 1-day sessions.
- Tues. 6/2 9 am – 4 pm – $25 (mandatory for all Give&Go Coaches & VBS Student Helpers) includes lunch, and a T-shirt
- Wed. 6/3 9 am – 4 pm – $25 – includes Mission service project, and lunch, as well as Leadership break-out sessions for various fields of leadership in our church, community, school, home, and beyond.
- Thurs. 6/4 – 8:30am – after lunch – (Challenge Discovery Day @ U of R) includes lunch & Challenge Discovery Admission
Total cost for all 3 days – $100
