Palm and Passion Sunday, March 29
Worship at 9:00 a.m. in The Well, and 11:00 a.m. in The Sanctuary.
Watch live on our YouTube channel. Worship on this day celebrates Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, marked by the waving of Palm branches and resounding ‘Hosannas.’
If you’re joining us for worship and seeking childcare options, our trained and background-checked staff is available to provide childcare during both services. Children are also always welcome in worship services at Second Baptist.

Stations of the Cross, March 30 – April 3
9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. in Powell Chapel
For centuries, Christians have meditated on the Stations of the Cross to reflect on the profound mystery of Jesus’ sacrifice. In place of walking the Via Dolorosa (Latin for “Sorrowful Way”) in Jerusalem, we can journey with Jesus to the cross through fifteen biblical scenes depicting the events leading to Easter day. These images offer a powerful way to pray and contemplate God’s self-giving love.
This self-guided exhibit in Powell Chapel features images by internationally renowned artist, Nicholas Markell, paired with biblical texts and reflection prompts. We encourage you to experience the Stations of the Cross installation throughout Holy Week.

Maundy Thursday, April 2
5:30 p.m. – Free Meal in the FLC Gym
6:30 p.m. – Worship in the Sanctuary with the Lord’s Supper.
The Sanctuary Choir will present a newly commissioned work entitled “Still Reaching,” by composer Kyle Pederson. Still Reaching weaves together scripture, hymns, and original music in a meditation on the final days of Jesus’ life. The title evokes the posture of Jesus throughout Holy Week: reaching to wash feet, to share bread, to forgive, to surrender. Across time and silence, Christ is still reaching—toward us, and toward the world he loves.

Good Friday, April 3
3:00 p.m. – Prayer Service in Sanctuary Courtyard
This outdoor service will include scripture readings, prayers, and the veiling of the cross. The service will last around 30 minutes.

Easter Sunday, April 5
9:00 a.m. the Well Worship Service
11:00 a.m. The Sanctuary Worship Service
