World Communion Sunday + Picnic
World Communion Sunday
Sunday, October 5, 2025
World Communion Sunday is a celebratory Sunday that invites us to think beyond the walls of our own congregation. On this special day, churches around the globe celebrate the Lord’s Supper as an act of radical Christian unity. While we gather at our own Table to celebrate Christ’s joyful feast, we will also remember, with fondness, our siblings in faith celebrating this same meal around the world.
On this special day, we will hold one all-church worship service in the Sanctuary at 11:00 a.m. Second Baptist Church will gather all together on this day, combining our English, Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese, and Telugu communities into one worship service. Our Arabic, Portuguese, Spanish, Telugu, and English ministries will all come together for this service as we celebrate the Lord’s Supper. Pastors and musicians from all our Language Ministries will lead in worship with Senior Pastor, Dr. Noel Schoonmaker, preaching.
Sunday School will be held as usual, but there will be no 9:00 a.m. Well service on this day.
