VBS was June 25-29, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. This summer, we came ashore as we were Shipwrecked, but Rescued by Jesus.
Thank you so much for all your hard work this week. I have received so many compliments about VBS this week and have sung your praises to everyone who will listen…. You all truly did amazing work and got to know children SO well this week. I am thankful for the roles each of you played in such an amazing week. No matter your role, it took all of us working together to make this week happen!
Our VBS leadership team works almost year round to make this week and all the week’s logistics work. A sincere thank you and so much love to those that served in this capacity! They have been such a huge support in the planning and were total rock stars this week!
I could go on and on thanking you all but I know you’ll only read so many words of an email before you stop reading all together so I’ll end with this:
A week like VBS to me is all about community. Not only did we welcome SO many new faces into the community of Second Baptist Church this week but we also grew closer together as volunteers and families in community together. Ultimately, we grew our Christian community by speaking truth, beauty and goodness about Jesus to the Next Generations.
Thank you for being part of my community. For show the love of Jesus with your very lives and pouring that love into the lives of sweet children this week. I’m eternally grateful for your eternal impact!
THANK YOU!!! Our missions offering totaled $500 for Seeds for Haiti to provide life and career giving opportunities throughout Haiti! We also had a large baby pool OVERFLOWING with items for RVA Comfort Cases! We will pack all these items during Advocacy Camp at the end of July and they will go to children in and around Richmond going in to foster care.
Seeing your children all coming to the front during offering time was very moving. Thank you for helping them to understand this important act of worship by giving so generously!!
