Dear Church Family,

We are grateful for a wonderful season of worship during Advent, an outstanding generosity campaign, and the fact that 345 people are currently signed up for the New Testament Challenge. God is moving in our church.

At the same time, unfortunately, the pandemic persists. COVID-19 cases in Henrico County have recently skyrocketed to their highest level ever, and a number of church members have tested positive over the past few weeks. Therefore, we are adjusting our church policies and plans for the safety and health of our congregation. These policies and plans have been reviewed by the lay leaders on our COVID-19 Response Team.

Beginning Sunday, January 9, we will shift from “masks recommended” to “masks required” at all indoor worship services and activities. The mask requirement pertains to everyone over the age of 2, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated.

We will also delay the resumption of Wednesday night “Midweek” activities. Instead of restarting Wednesday night activities in January, we are now aiming for February.

As always, the above policies and plans are subject to change. In fact, the policies are intended to be temporary. We appreciate your flexibility, understanding, and perseverance as we continue to navigate the ever-changing circumstances of the pandemic.

The Lord bless you and keep you!

In Christ,

Your Ministerial Staff
