Rev. Amos Disasa is the Senior Pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Dallas, Texas. As a child, Amos emigrated from Ethiopia to South Carolina eventually serving as a Co-Pastor to aid in the launch of DOWNTOWN CHURCH, a new Presbyterian (USA) congregation in Columbia.
Amos’ history in social justice ministry includes work with street children in Brazil through Hope Unlimited, and service at various homeless assistance organizations in S.C. including Foot Care Ministry, the Light the Way coalition, and Transitions.
Amos met his wife Sarah while earning his BA at Presbyterian College. Later he obtained his Master of Divinity from Wake Forest University School of Divinity. Together they have two children, Abraham and Shepherd.
