DESCRIPTION:\n\nESL Class Registration Is Open\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease register only if you can attend most of the classes.\nA one time fee of $25 is charged.\nESL classes (English as a Second Language) for beginners to advanced students are held on Monday nights in the Education Building from 7-9 pm. Students learn to use English in the workplace and in their daily life. The schedule on Monday nights includes a break-time when students can shop in the church’s clothes closet. There is no childcare.\nClasses are held from September 23, 2024 through April 28, 2025.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBeginning on August 12 until September 23, registration will be available online and is strongly encouraged. In person registration and testing for class placement will be available on these dates:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMonday, September 9 at 6:30pm\nThursday, September 12 at 6:30pm \nMonday September 23 at 6:30pm\n\nAfter September 23, registration will be closed until January.\n\n\n\n\nDownload the full calendar here.\n\n\n\n\nVolunteers Needed: If you would like to participate in any aspect of ESL, contact Delight Booker. Please email info@secondbaptistrva.org ( mailto:info@secondbaptistrva.org ) your contact information and questions and we will get you in touch with Delight.\nBAD WEATHER CLOSING POLICY: When bad weather closes Henrico Public Schools, there will be no ESL classes.\nESL students are invited to attend Worship for Arabic, Spanish, and Portuguese congregations at Second Baptist. Spanish Christians meet in the Chapel for Worship from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Sundays. The Portuguese Service is at 11:00 a.m. in Spence Hall, with a Sunday School class that meets in room 8 in the Education Building from 9:45-10:45 a.m. The Arabic Service (Life Church) meets for worship at 7:00 p.m. in Spence Hall on Saturday nights.\n\n\n\n\n\n
