Me, Myself, and Lies:
A Thought Closet Makeover
For 7 week Class, Thursday evenings starting January 18th, from 5:45-7:00 pm Room: FLC 260
Group Facilitators: Doti Sadler & Susan Hill
Me, Myself, and Lies: A Thought Closet Makeover – Bible Study Book by Jennifer Rothschild provides a personal study experience five days a week plus viewer guides for the group video sessions of this women’s Bible study that encourages them to clean out the junk in their minds and replace hidden negative thoughts with positive truths from God’s word.
Words are powerful. Especially the words women speak to themselves. All too often, what they say to themselves when they lie in bed at night or look in the mirror in the morning is not even close to the words God wants them to speak to their souls. According to Rothschild, what we think about often has a ripple effect on nearly every area of our lives.
The Quest: An Excursion Toward Intimacy With God
Daytime class: For 6 weeks,
Fridays starting January , from 10:30 am-12:00 pm
Room: FLC 246
Group Facilitator: Pat Helton
Join us for the 6-week DVD bible study series The Quest: An Excursion Toward Intimacy with God by Beth Moore.
There Is No Quest Without Questions
The crooked punctuation mark at the end of a sentence speaks of curiosity, interest, and perhaps doubt. A question is an invitation to vulnerability, to intimacy. The Bible does not shy away from such an invite. Over and over we see the people of God asking questions of their Creator. We also see the God of the universe asking questions of His creation.
The Quest is a challenge to accept the invitation. In this six-week excursion with Jesus, Beth Moore uses questions from Scripture to lead you into intimacy with the One who knows you best. Learn to dig into the Word, to respond to the questions of God, and to bring your questions before Him. Let the crooked punctuation mark be the map that points you into a closer relationship with the Father.
- Learn to pray to promote intimacy with God.
- Explore questions and responses from the Bible.
- Track your quest by journaling along the way.
- Learn to read and respond to Scripture.
An Elijah House Teaching Series
Evening class: 6:30-8:30 pm For 12 weeks, Thursday evenings starting February 8th- May 10th (off March 22nd and April 5th), from
Room: Education Building, Parlor
Group Facilitators: Jamie Mitchell & Ginnie Moore
Join us for a 12-week video-based teaching series taught by Sandra Sellmer-Kersten, a prayer minister and teacher of Elijah House Ministries USA for nine years (elijahhouse.org). Sandra Sellmer-Kersten has effectively ministered this series of teachings in many parts of the world.
Many people experience trauma every day. A sneaky thief of life’s zest, trauma can sink into the soul and cause core wounding that is difficult to notice and describe, but which can affect a person’s life far more severely than some physical wounds. In this series, Sandra’s heart is to do more than put band-aids on people who are bleeding to death emotionally. She believes that we all need to learn how to minister to trauma. These teachings focus on helping people overcome trauma and discover who God always intended for them to be.
This set of teachings includes the following sessions:
• One Drop of Hope Left
• The Many Faces of Trauma
• The Devastating Effects of Trauma
• Prayer Ministry Demo #1
• How Trauma Affects Our Song
• How We Get Stuck in Trauma
• How A Stronghold Develops (and How to Dismantle It)
• Ministry Demo #2
• The Trauma of Neglect
• Prayer to Release Trauma
• Praying to Release Trauma Corporately
• Enrichments 1, 2 and 3.
Who is this teaching series for?
1) For those who have experienced trauma and its devastating effects
2) For those who love and suffer along with someone who has been traumatized
3) For the Church to be better equipped to minister to those who have experienced trauma

It’s time, ladies, to refresh, refuel, and renew our relationships with God and with each other. Join us for laughing, developing deeper friendships, connecting, worshiping, sharing, praying and receiving a timely message. Our retreat theme this year is Proximate Love based on the scripture of 1 John 4:18-19:
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us.

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
